THE FACTIONS OF THE ARCHIVE
One storm. 3,333 attempts. Every jar was sealed with a faction, a function and a ward before the lights came back on. When you reanimate, the vessel you feed decides whose side your monster wakes up on.
How the Archive was divided
The Doctor never kept one kind of experiment. He began alone in a flooded cellar, then built an Archive of thirty-three wards and a case file for every body. On Halloween night a storm came through the lightning rods, the doors blew open, and 3,333 jars woke up at once.
They did not wake up equal. Each jar remembers the part of the Archive's history it was made in, and each has taken a side. The case files call it the Era. The specimens call it their faction.
Now the Reanimation Chamber is open. Feed jars, throw the switch, and a monster is born inside your vessel jar. The monster keeps the vessel's faction, its function and its ward. The factions are counting every birth.
Allies and rivals
The five factions stand at the points of a star. Neighbours on the ring are allies. The lines that cross the star connect sworn rivals. Every faction has exactly two of each.
The sizes are not an accident: 333 + 1,000 + 333 + 667 + 1,000 = 3,333.
Know your side
Which faction is your jar?
Enter any jar number from 1 to 3333. This is the monster it will birth if you feed it as the vessel, the first jar you put on the table.
Function and bloodline
Every jar was programmed for one function: the part of a living body it was meant to become. The vessel's function becomes the monster's. The jars you burn with it decide its bloodline.
The count
Every birth is counted for its vessel's faction. Raw numbers favour the two great factions, so the Archive also keeps the awakening rate: births for every hundred jars the faction holds. The small factions can win that one.
| Faction | Jars | Born | Legendary | Storm-struck | Rate / 100 |

Reading the Chamber…
The vault holds 666 monsters, the sum of the Sun's magic square. When the last one is born, the count stops. The Archive will remember who filled the Square.
